Voice Overs Commercials Corporate videos online Content

“His breadth and professionalism mean he’s going to ‘get’ exactly what each script needs – and always far better than I’ve imagined. I want to work with people who make things better – he always does.”

Laurie Ingram
Creative Partner Mr Mumbles – Sydney

Having voiced over 10,000 TV and radio commercials, Rupert has vast experience in advertising as well as online and corporate content, for the UK, North America, Asia Pacific, Australia and New Zealand. He has been an ongoing ‘voice of the brand’ for many companies, working collaboratively with their creative agencies across the globe.  He is also regularly engaged by corporate communications teams to voice case studies, internal content, and conferences.

“There’s that precarious time when the voice that you heard in your head, helps talk a thought into an idea, that then becomes a script. This is when anyone can then try to be that voice in your head. This is when an idea can be lost. Rupert is one of the few voice actors who knows this. He is the champion of that voice in your head. He knows an idea when he reads one.”

Tim Green

Chief Creative Officer APAC at Edelman

“Rupert has become a household name in the Sydney VO scene, known for his impressive array of accents, ability to take direction, and speak really really fast when required! As for recording him, he always makes my job easier as he brings an understanding of what’s required due to his years of experience, be that in front of the microphone or in the room with clients. He’s a very skilful actor.”

Abby Sie

Sound Designer Song Zu – Sydney / Singapore

“I work with Rupert quite a lot. Actually, I’m not always sure it’s Rupert, as so many different characters show up with him. His characters and accents are spot on, his timing is impeccable, and if I’m lost for another way to do something, he is always inventive and helpful in looking at a script from a new perspective.”

Mike Boswell

Producer / Director Boswell Group – Sydney

Commercial Voice Over Artist for TV, Radio, Cinema and Online

“He’ll have you in awe of his voice skills, then in hysterical laughter at his comedic ad-libs. Rupert is always a professional and regardless of the job’s size, brand, or value, he gives his all every time.”

Tone Aston
Owner / Creative Director Rumble Studios – Sydney

As one of the most sought after voice over talents in the business, Rupert has voiced more than 10,000 TV and radio commercials. Narrative Pitches

Rupert supports advertising agencies and their creatives to bring a concept or story to life for their clients through narrative pitches. He is happy to work with your team to help find the right voice or the right character to communicate a project to your clients. Among others he helped agency VCCP create the Aleksandr Orlov character for the Compare the Market advertising campaign – “simples!”

“There have been many times Rupert has made an okay script even better, and made a good script great. He has been part of countless award-winning campaigns and I count him as part of the creative process. He can do everything from character voices to raw emotion to narrative reads – so much so you would not ever know it is the same person. The proof is the amount of times I have used him over the many years I have known him. If you’re looking for more than just a voice, Rupert is your man (or woman if you need a woman’s voice).”

Matt Keon

Creative Director Fallon London / 18 Feet & Rising

“In advertising I was taught clients always wanted fast, fabulous and a good price, but in reality something had to give. Fast and fabulous meant expensive; fast and affordable meant lower quality; fabulous and affordable meant you couldn’t ask for it quickly. Then I met Rupert Degas. Fabulous and beyond fast, and affordable – because he gets it way before anyone else does. So why settle for two out of three when you can have it all?”
